Web version now available!

TLDR: You can now play Pointy's Platforming Peril in your browser--no download required.

For anyone who's curious about the technical details, this is a full rewrite of the game. I originally wrote it in Python (using Pygame), which unfortunately doesn't seem to have an easy way to make games that are playable in the browser. I know that's convenient for a lot of users, so I decided to port the project over to Godot. Thankfully, that went a lot smoother than I expected! So, today I'm posting the updated versions of the game for web, Windows, and Mac. And with that, I'll deem this the official version 1.0.0.

After several months of working on this project, it's exciting to reach this milestone. I originally started working on this to learn more about game development, and I've certainly learned a lot in the process! I wanted to make a 2D platformer, a genre I've always had a soft spot for. I wasn't aiming necessarily to make the most fully-featured or innovative game, but rather just something lightweight, fun, and reasonably polished. I hope I've succeeded in those goals and that Pointy brings you some moments of delight. If not, well, there's always version 2 to look forward to!
